RYAN'S TAKE Lemelle definitely has interest in Penn State, but he really hasn't made too many moves with recruiting and won't until after the state playoffs. It's unclear which school has the edge, but he's close friends with Cincinnati running back Jameel Poteat, so the Bearcats could be sleepers here. STERLING PARKS DB|5-11|185| New Berlin, N.Y.|Milford Academy SCHOOLS OF INTEREST Parks doesn't have any offers yet from Football Bowl Sub- division schools, but that's because they're waiting for his grades to be re- leased at the end of the month. If his grades are good – and his coaches say they should be – he will most likely earn a few offers from schools in the Mid-Atlantic region. The three that stand out right now are Penn State, Pitt and Connecticut. QUOTABLE Parks: "The atmosphere was great. I loved being on the field and being next to the student section. I had a lot of fun at the game. I talked to my recruiting coach, Coach [John] Strollo and one of the DB coaches. I also talked to Jordan Smith. We're both from the same area, so I kind of knew him from back home. The loss doesn't impact my thoughts on Penn State. I love it there, everything about it. This is my school. Nothing can change how I feel about Penn State." RYAN'S TAKE Parks could very well end up being a part of the Class of 2013. If so, he would be an early enrollee, which would help Penn State bolster its roster as it copes with NCAA-mandated schol- arship reductions. Stats for Anderson have not been made available. BRANDON BELL Bell has only played in six games for Oakcrest High so far this season due to injuries, but he's recorded 78 total tackles, 7.5 of which have been for negative yardage, and recovered two fumbles. Bell and his teammates still have one more game to play because of postponements caused by Hurricane Sandy. Through eight games, Oakcrest was winless. ADAM BRENEMAN Breneman was held out for his senior season due to a torn ACL. He will enroll at Penn State in January. Cedar Cliff finished 5-6, losing to Penn Manor, 43-10, in the first round of the District III playoffs. CURTIS COTHRAN Cothran had more than 30 tackles and eight sacks through nine games this season. Council Rock North finished 5-5. KASEY GAINES Gaines recorded seven tackles and had an interception for a touchdown in Grayson's 42-13 victo- ry over Brookwood. Grayson (9-1) is ranked 11th in the nation by Rivals.com. CHRISTIAN HACKENBERG The standout quarterback complet- ed 16 of 24 passes for 196 yards and three touch- downs in Fork Union's final regular-season game against Benedictine. For the year, Hackenberg has completed 140 of 261 passing attempts for 1,956 yards, 22 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Fork Union (10-2) was set to play Tanner Hartman's Liberty Christian squad for the division championship Nov. 16. TANNER HARTMAN The senior offensive lineman led Liberty Christian to a 10-1 record and a spot in the division championship game against Fork Union Nov. 16. BRENDAN MAHON Mahon led Randolph to a 7-3 regular-sea- son record. Randolph had its first playoff game of the season against Bloomfield Nov. 16. ANDREW NELSON Nelson helped lead Hershey to a 6-4 record. The Trojans were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by Lancaster Catholic, 32-14. NEIKO ROBINSON Robinson had eight tackles and a sack in Northview's 41-28 loss to West Florida. Northview (7-3) began the FHSAA playoff tournament against Cotton- dale Nov. 16. GARRETT SICKELS Sickels and Red Bank Regional are 3-5 on the season. They have one game remaining due to postponements that resulted from Hurricane Sandy. JORDAN SMITH Smith was ruled ineligible this season after transferring to H.D. Woodson last winter. Woodson fin- ished 5-5 without Smith. To stay in shape, he practiced with his team and worked out with personal trainers. He plans to enroll at Penn State in January. -R.S. matured since enrolling at Milford Acad- emy. And they add that he's developed into one of the school's top prospects of the past decade. That's saying some- thing, as Milford is arguably the top postgrad school in the Northeast. 2014 PROSPECTS MARQUES LITTLE Ath.|5-9|170| Williamstown, N.J.|Williamstown High SCHOOLS OF INTEREST Little had only one offer as of this writing – from Temple – but that will change in the spring.
