A one-year than normal about this loss to Ohio, besides being a sore loser (which I admit I am in this rivalry), is that the OSU faithful are a bunch of arrogant, classless morons who keep coming out on top in spite of it all! And at the expense of Michigan and every other university that follows and competes by the rules! After 44 years of watching every Dear The Wolverine: I think the reason I am more upset game with OSU (since 1969), our re- cord against them is exactly even at 21-21-2 with Michigan outplaying them while losing on more occasions than I can count and 10 years of OSU cheating in the Tressel era. Note: this does not count the [vacated game] in 2010. Yes, since "The Vest" took over in 2001, we have been spanked over and over and sadly, there may be no end in sight! Now we have to con- tend with Urban Meyer, who you might remember lobbied us out of a national championship rematch in 2006 but saw nothing wrong with a rematch between LSU and Alabama in the BCS years later. He is now arrogantly lobbying for an AP national championship and a Heisman for Braxton Miller for OSU in 2012 while still on NCAA proba- tion. Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer rubbed some U-M fans the wrong way with his lob- bying for a national title despite his team being banned from postseason play. PHOTO BY LON HORWEDEL Additionally, "The Ohio State Uni- versity" has to be the only school in America that would have the gall to honor their disgraced coach on national TV for all to see while still under NCAA sanctions! Woody has to be rolling over in his grave! At least he valued honor above all else. So what are the U-M faithful look- ing at going forward? The good news — we will get better and hopefully at least play back and forth with Ohio in the years to come. The bad news — it may be wishful thinking as we are now in an era where 10 years of cheating to win at all cost seems to have paid off! From Tressel, to star Or e-mail: jborton@thewolverine.com Letters may be edited for clarity or length. Wolverine Letters • P.O. Box 1304 • Ann Arbor, MI 48106 Be Heard! Send your letters to: players who illegally played and were actually game changers against the Wolverines: Maurice Clarett, Troy Smith, Terrelle Pryor and many we don't even know about, after finally getting caught, get a wrist slap by the NCAA. No two-year bowl ban or taking away the national cham- pionship or Heisman like USC for the Bucks! On top of that, they are rewarded with a $5-million dollar coach who by gaming his current scholarships and stealing recruits from other schools, leads Ohio to an undefeated season and a coveted win against Michigan. Furthermore, his recruiting going forward will sky- rocket as everyone wants to play for a winner, and a win against Michigan is a big stage! Now, we have to listen to 365 days of ridiculous trash talk by the fans of a team that is so childish, they need to get helmet stickers for rewards like little kids (marijuana stickers, no less) and have Urban buy them shirts, hats and rings celebrating the Big Ten di- visional title that they didn't even win. What ever happened to that old saying: "Cheaters never win and winners never cheat!" Consequently, all Wolverine fans can do is suck it up again, and dream of what might have been had we not choked on the field once more! It will
