MICHIGAN FOOTBALL Denard Robinson Moves Up In Final Weeks Of The Season Michigan lists went into hiatus — along with the Wolverines' Big Ten champion- ship hopes — when the senior went out of the Nebraska game with an in- jury. He didn't return until weeks later, against Iowa on Senior Day. Still, Robinson managed to put Denard Robinson's rise up the all-time himself even further ahead in terms of Michigan's all-time total yardage list and moved up on several others. Here is a rundown of where Robinson stands, with just one game remaining in his luminous U-M career: 1. Chad Henne 2. John Navarre 3. Elvis Grbac Rk. Player Career Passing Attempts 4. He hasn't thrown a pass since, and isn't going to be heaving 90 of them in a bowl game, no matter how much his ailing right arm has healed. That means he'll go into the books No. 4 on Michi- gan's all-time list for passing attempts. • Robinson's passing efforts for the Wolver- 1. Chad Henne 4. Todd Collins 5. Tom Brady Rk. Robinson's total of 6,250 yards sounds very solid, though, for someone not considered a thrower as much as a runner. • Robinson has his top-five spot locked up Rk. Player Career Rushing Yards 2. He surpassed Wheat- ley with his Senior Day running effort against Iowa. Then in Columbus, Robinson churned out enough yardage to slip past Morris by just two yards. Robinson also has a crack at No. 2 on this list, needing 78 yards rushing in Michigan's bowl game to outshine the A- Train on the ground. • Robinson got healthy just in time to make Rk. There may be challengers in the future, but it's hard to imagine someone with the running and passing skills (not to mention years at the helm) to challenge this mark. He is presently No. 6 all time in the Big Ten, behind only the following: Purdue's Drew Brees (12,692), Min- nesota's Adam Weber (11,790), Northwest- ern's Brett Basanez (11,576), Purdue's Cur- tis Painter (11,511) and Indiana's Antwaan Randle El (11,364). • Robinson is officially the all-time yard- DECEMBER 2012 THE WOLVERINE 37 • Robinson snapped a tie with Hart for third
