C O M BWI X PRESS Penn State has been on a commitment binge the past few weeks, adding six players to what had been a three-member recruiting class as of mid- May. Among those who have recently announced for the Nittany Lions are elite Virginia prospects Devyn Ford, Brandon Smith and Hakeem Bea- mon. Ford, a five-star running back as rated by, is the most highly regarded player in Penn State's class so far, while Beamon, a defen- sive end, and Smith, a linebacker, have both re- ceived four stars from Rivals.
