Putz Helps Lead Diamondbacks To Division Title The Arizona Diamondbacks are National League West champions, and former U-M pitcher J.J. Putz is a big reason why. Putz had notched 45 saves in 59 games as of Sept. 27 and boasted a 2.21 ERA. He stood 2-2 with only four blown saves.
