leading West Bloom7eld to the MHSAA Division 1 state championship. A three-star prospect according to Ri- vals.com, he is the 25th-ranked outside linebacker and the 10th-ranked prospect in Michigan for the Class of 2019. JOHN DUNMORE Penn State picked up its 7rst wide receiver in the Class of 2019 when Dunmore, a Rivals100 prospect, announced on July 4 that he planned to sign with the Nittany Lions. Dunmore had previously been commit- ted to Florida, joining the Gators' class in April 2017. But when the coach who had been recruiting him to Gainesville, Ja'Juan Seider, was hired by Penn State, Dunmore backed out of that commit- ment, opening it up to all schools. As he settled in at PSU, Seider continued talk- ing to Dunmore. If anything, their rela- tionship became even closer a9er Seider headed north. "Honestly, he treats me like I'm his son more than a recruit," Dunmore said at the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge. "I know that if I ever needed to go to him about something, he would take care of me. "I just know he's going to take care of me if I went there, so the loyalty is pretty strong. He's been recruiting me all the way since my freshman year, 7rst at West Virginia, then Florida, now at Penn State. So the relationship we have is pretty tight." In addition to his relationship with Sei- der, Dunmore has also become close with Franklin and wide receivers coach David Corley. The 6-3, 170-pound prospect took an o8cial visit to Penn State in early June, and that experience pushed the Lions to the top of his list. "It was a great trip," Dunmore said. "I'm from Florida, so I haven't seen many schools like Penn State. It's nice up there. My little brother was able to come with me, and it was a great experience for him. I really enjoyed my time there, too. I've got nothing but good things to say about PSU. It de7nitely stood out. I just got that feeling when I was there. It feels like home." Dunmore went on to take an o8cial visit to Auburn two weeks later, and he also gave Florida State serious consider- ation, as well as Florida, Miami, Michigan and Ohio State. Before the 2017 season, Dunmore trans- ferred from Cardinal Gibbons in Fort Lauderdale to nearby American Heritage in Plantation, Fla. He 7nished with 26 re- ceptions for 272 yards and six touch- downs as a junior, while also playing quarterback and defensive back. Dun- more has since transferred for a third time, as he announced in December that he's joining the reigning Class 3A state champions, Chaminade Madonna in Hol- lywood.
