Max Redfield was always expected to be a
star athlete. It was his
destiny.
Both of his parents
were Division I athletes.
His mother, Kathy Mora,
played soccer at the University of Connecticut,
while his father, Floyd,
was an All-American in
the 400 meters for the
Huskies. His aunt, Joy
Fawcett, a former United
States soccer defender, is
both an Olympian and
World Cup champion.
Redfield was born in
Stamford, Conn., and
got his start in football
at the age of 4 in a flag
football league. He
