NEAR PERFECT 10
The Virginia rowing team claimed its 10th consecu-
tive ACC title May 18 in Clemson, S.C. The Cavaliers
won four of the five races — the varsity eight, second
varsity eight, third varsity eight and second varsity
four — and have now won 19 of the 20 ACC titles and
77 of 85 races in the annual event.
"To win four of five at this competition is really
hard," head coach Kevin Sauer told VirginiaSports.
com. "We were able to get those wins against some
great competition, and I'm really proud of the team."

Izzi Weiss, plus redshirt fourth-year Anna Fairs, fourth-
year Heidi Long, third-years Reilly White and Lizzie
Trull, and second-years Emily Ashton, Jamey Bulloch,
Sophia Kershner and Carrie Warner was named the
ACC Crew of the Year.
Redshirt fourth-year Sophie Pennoyer, Fairs, Long and
Weiss were named to the All-ACC first team. Fourth-
year Mackenzie King was a second-team selection.
UVA was set to take part in its 22nd NCAA Champi-
onships in the last 23 years May 31-June 2 at India-
napolis.
