sacks, the latter forcing a fumble by
Perkins that Ogundeji picked up and
returned for a 23-yard touchdown
and a 28-17 lead with 1:41 left. Senior
Khalid Kareem got in on the fun with
his own sack of Perkins on the next
series.
Stats: Although Notre Dame to-
taled only 20 yards of total offense in
the third quarter, Virginia's 20 plays
in the quarter amounted to 22 yards
thanks to the Irish quarterback sacks.
Notes: Virginia opened the second
half with an onside kick that Cavaliers
cornerback Bryce Hall recovered at
the 50 … However, a sack by Okwara
forced a punt from the 40-yard line
