School Commits RECRUITING NOTES • For Notre Dame's matchup against Virginia, the Fighting Irish hosted Bakersfield (Calif.) Liberty athlete Ramon Henderson for an official visit. The 6-3, 180-pounder plays both sides of the ball for his high school team, and the Irish view him as a defensive back. Henderson is considered a strong lean to Notre Dame. Rivals ranks him as a three-star prospect and the No. 49 recruit in California. California, Oklahoma, Oregon State, Tennessee, UCLA, Utah and Washington have also offered Henderson. • Three Notre Dame commits made their way to South Bend for the Virginia matchup — 2020 defensive tackle Aidan Keanaaina of Denver Mul- len, 2021 tight end Cane Berrong of Hartwell (Ga.) Hart County and 2021 defensive tackle Gabriel Rubio of St. Peters (Mo.) Lutheran of St. Charles. Keanaaina, the No. 25 defensive tackle nationally per Rivals, pledged to the Irish in the summer, committed to Notre Dame in February and remains rock solid with Notre Dame. Berrong, Rivals' No. 7 tight end and No. 178 overall prospect in the country, returned to South Bend for the first time since his pledge to the Irish in the summer. Rubio, the nation's No. 7 de- fensive tackle and No. 86 overall prospect per Rivals, got his first gameday experience at Notre Dame. • Notre Dame crushed New Mexico 66-14 in its home opener Sept. 14, and one of the best prospects in the country was on hand to watch. Avon (Ind.) High class of 2021 tackle and Irish commit Blake Fisher enjoyed the game and thought the atmosphere of Notre Dame Stadium was electric despite not playing against a marquee opponent. "It was hyped," said Fisher, who is rated as the No. 4 offensive tackle and No. 17 overall player by Rivals. "People were yelling my name. It was pretty wild. It was a packed house like always. It was amazing. "I can't wait to be back. I'll for sure be back for the USC game. I can't wait." • The Fighting Irish extended a new scholarship offer in the class of 2021 to Birmingham (Ala.) Ramsay outside linebacker Jeremiah Williams, and Notre Dame defensive line coach Mike Elston did the honors. When the 6-4, 215-pound Williams received the offer, it was his first communication with the Irish coaching staff, which made it a very surprising moment for him. Rivals ranks Williams as the No. 5 prospect in Alabama, and the No. 15 outside linebacker and No. 189 overall prospect nationally. Auburn, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Mississippi State and others have also offered him. — Mike Singer Follow @BGI_MikeSinger on Twitter for daily recruiting updates! Birmingham (Ala.) Ramsay standout Jeremiah Williams — the No. 5 recruit in Alabama, and the No. 15 outside linebacker and No. 189 over- all player in the 2021 class per Rivals — picked up an offer from Notre Dame in September.
