However, since NCSU did not sign a tight end in the 2013 class, the Pack could still pursue another for 2014. One of the most frequent visitors to NC  State has been Avery Edwards of Raleigh Ravenscroft School. The three-star prospect has taken at least three unofficial trips to NCSU since February. He has also been a frequent guest at UNC. Arkansas, Duke, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Virginia and Wake Forest complete Edwards' offer list. The 6-5, 225-pounder is listed as the No. 21 tight end in the country after catching 40 passes for 490 yards and four touchdowns as a junior. Four-star tight end Kalan Ritchie from Goose Creek (S.C.) High has not visited NC State yet, but he would like to. NC State is in Ritchie's top three along with Clemson and South Carolina. The 6-5, 215-pounder is regarded as the No. 212 player in the country and No. 7 tight end nationally by Rivals.com. Three-star tight end Cole Cook of Carrolton (Ga.) High took an unofficial visit to Raleigh during the spring. NC State was the first to offer the 6-5, 230-pounder, but his stock continues to rise. Boston College, Central Florida, Cincinnati, Mississippi State and Missouri all followed NCSU's lead in offering. Cook caught 12 passes in a run-oriented offense last season. NC State also hosted Micah Till from Upper Marlboro (Md.) Wise High for an unofficial visit in the spring. The 6-5, 260-pounder has offers from Duke, NC State and Temple, among others. Till is a talented basketball player who has been given the option of playing both sports at James Madison. He averaged a doubledouble in hoops last season after catching 17 passes for 382 yards and eight touchdowns on the gridiron in the fall. ■ Offensive Linemen NC State is one of the favorites for threestar Eric Shute from Glen Ellyn (Ill.) Glenbard West High. He visited in February and received an offer at that point. Syracuse is also high on the list for the 6-5, 275-pounder. Shute, who projects as an interior lineman in college, also has offers from Illinois and Kentucky, among others. Shute is not the only lineman from Illinois to take a visit to NC State. Blake Hance, a 6-6, 260-pounder from Jacksonville High, visited in April. Hance, who plays tight end and defensive end in high school, has seen most interest from colleges as an offensive tackle. The three-star prospect has offers from Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, NC  State and Vanderbilt, among others. The main focus among in-state prospects is three-star tackle Will Richardson of Bur- 68  ■  the wolfpacker 67-69.FB Recruiting.indd 68 4/30/13 2:15 PM
