Her coach Curtis Ekmark, has been along her side ever since and has been the head coach at St. Mary's for the last six years. In that time, he has sent 20 players to Division I schools, including a few who are now playing in the WNBA. So when he unequivocally said, "Danielle is my favorite player that I have ever coached," it's pretty high praise. "She has always had an incredible competitiveness and a phenomenal work ethic," Ekmark said. "She has a will to win. To her, every game, practice and drill is important.
