With his performance at the Pittsburgh event, Ferns earned an invitation to the Rivals Five-Star Challenge, a gathering of the top performers from each of the regional camps. The event will be held at Sol‑ dier Field in the Windy City, June 7‑9. Grand Rapids (Mich.) Christian wide receiver Drake Harris was unable to make a regional camp, but earned an invitation to the Five-Star Challenge as well. Rivals isn't the only camp series with an all-star camp at its culmina‑ tion. By participating in the Chicago Nike Football Training Camp, hosted by Student Sports, Inc., Harris has also earned an invitation to Nike's The Opening. Last year, five eventual Michigan signees — offensive linemen David Dawson and Chris Fox, running back Derrick Green, linebacker Mike Mc‑ Cray and defensive back Jourdan Lewis — participated in the FiveStar Challenge, which was held in Atlanta. Four future Wolverines par‑ ticipated in The Opening, with de‑ fensive back Delano Hill, tight end Jake Butt, defensive end Taco Charl‑ ton and quarterback Shane Morris all trekking out to Beaverton, Ore., for the event. 2015 On The Rise Michigan's coaches have primarily focused on the class of 2014 in their recruiting efforts this summer, but that hasn't slowed down the flow of offers in the next group, the class of 2015. The Wolverines' offer numbers in that group are nearing 20 after ex‑ tending several recently. St. Paul (Minn.)
