Might be the best 1-2 punch in the Big Ten, though I could easily see the case for Kofi Cockburn and Ayo Dosunmu [of Illinois]. masuofmfan • Laughable, but they'll do the talking on the court. Pontificate • As long as we have guys on the end- of-the-year list, that's all that matters. Chitown blue • All solid, solid players [that made the list]. Wagner will get there by the end of the year. Goblueam • Yet Franz will be the Player of the Year! Dalemac • Some really questionable picks here in my opinion. … I'd be extremely sur- prised if a healthy Wagner is not a top- 10 player in the conference by season's end, and mildly surprised if he's not top five. MHoops1 • Less pressure and more incentive to prove them wrong! z_for_three • I think by season's end, Wagner will be on the list. I'm not sure he showed enough in his freshman year to war- rant being ahead of the folks on this list from a preseason perspective. marroquin On wide receiver Nico Collins and cornerback Ambry Thomas — who both opted out of playing with Michigan football this fall — ac- cepting invites to play in the Senior Bowl, which is scheduled for Janu- ary in Mobile, Ala. … • They'll need the exposure. I'm skep- tical about a Combine happening. mark78 • I miss [Collins] deeply. He would've ate well [against Michigan State]. Hank2623 • My opinion: If you choose not to play your senior season, you don't get to play in the Senior Bowl. coach maverick • Going over the [Michigan State] game again in my mind, I was think- ing we would have won that game with Collins. This team's missing a true deep threat right now. I suspect Ro- man Wilson develops into one by the end of the year, though. Maybe Corne- lius Johnson, too. umatrain32 • No comment other than I won't watch the game, and this stinks. wjbmd • It's been a trend for several years that guys with any shot at getting drafted, regardless of round, can't wait to leave U-M, whereas OSU has first- and sec- ond-rounders giving it their all, playing bowl games, staying longer through thick and thin … like they have to be dragged out of college. It's remarkable, and we can only be envious. abelblaine • They'll participate in a Senior Bowl, where they will see minutes but more limited than in a final-year U-M game. They could have enhanced their draft height on that board exponentially if they would have partaken in eight games of competition at U-M. Collins would have been the big- play featured receiver, and Ambry the shutdown corner, giving Daxton Hill more opportunity to help, when nec- essary, with the inexperienced corner. Many teams in the Big Ten had play- ers who opted out early and later returned. That sort of thing doesn't seem to happen as much under Har- baugh. Don't mean to criticize him, but messaging seems a little awry there in my opinion. orsons FROM OUR WEBSITE: Join The Conversation! Use Code BLUE60 60-Day Free Trial Be Heard!
