FORMER WOLVERINES ON MLB ROSTERS Through April 11 • Jake Cronenworth (Played at U-M from 2013-15), INF, San Diego Pa- dres: Tallied a .368 batting average (14 for 38) with no homers and one RBI in 11 games for the 8-3 Padres … Also racked up a .455 on-base percentage … His 14 hits led the club and were tied for the fifth most in the league. • Rich Hill (2000-02), LHP, Tampa Bay Rays: Compiled a 1-0 record and a 7.20 ERA in two starts and 10 innings for the 4-5 Rays … Posted an admirable 1.10 WHIP (walks plus hits per inning pitched). Compher (2014-16), LW, Colo- rado Avalanche: Compiled five goals and five assists in 33 contests for the 28-9-4 Avalanche. • Kyle Connor (2015-16), LW, Win- nipeg Jets: Logged 18 goals and 21 as- sists in 41 games for the 25-13-3 Jets … His 18 goals were the most on the team and ranked 11th in the NHL. • Andrew Copp (2013-15), C, Win- nipeg Jets: Notched 14 goals and 19 assists in 41 contests. • Phillip Di Giuseppe (2011-14), LW, New York Rangers: Posted one goal and seven assists in 27 games for the 19-16-6 Rangers. • Luke Glendening (2009-12), C, De- troit Red Wings: Notched three goals and eight assists in 41 contests for the 14-23-6 Red Wings. • Carl Hagelin (2008-11), LW, Wash- ington Capitals: Recorded four goals and eight assists in 42 games for the 27-11-4 Capitals. • Quinn Hughes (2018-19), D, Van- couver Canucks: Registered two goals and 26 assists in 37 contests for the 16- 18-3 Canucks … His 26 assists led the club and were tied for the 20th most in the NHL. • Zach Hyman (2012-15), C, Toronto Maple Leafs: Tallied 14 goals and 16 as- sists in 39 games for the 28-10-3 Maple Leafs … His 14 goals were tied for the second most on the team. • Jack Johnson (2006-07), D, New York Rangers: Totaled one goal in 13 contests for the 19-16-6 Rangers, but will miss the rest of the year after un- dergoing successful hernia surgery March 20. • Steven Kampfer (2007-10), D, Bos- ton Bruins: Bounced between Boston's development team (Providence Bruins) and the organization's taxi squad, and logged just one goal and no assists in 13 games with the 21-12-6 Bruins. • Dylan Larkin (2015), C, Detroit Red Wings: Accumulated eight goals and 13 assists in 39 contests … His 13 assists were the second most on the club. • Jon Merrill (2011-13), D, Montreal Canadians: Compiled five assists in 36 games for the Red Wings before being traded to the 17-12-9 Canadians April 11. • Tyler Motte (2013-16), C, Vancou- ver Canucks: Logged six goals and one assist in 20 contests … Placed on in- jured reserve Feb. 9 with an ankle injury and didn't return until March 17. • Boo Nieves (2012-16), C, Tampa Bay Lightning: Resided on Tampa Bay's development team, the Syracuse Crunch, but has not played this season due to a head injury … Did not appear in a game with the 28-11-2 Lightning. • Josh Norris (2017-19), C, Ottawa Senators: Notched 11 goals and 11 assists in 42 contests for the 13-25-4 Senators. • Max Pacioretty (2007-08), LW, Ve- gas Golden Knights: Posted 19 goals and 17 assists in 38 games for the 27- 11-2 Golden Knights … His 19 goals were six more than anyone else on the team and were tied for the eighth most in the NHL … His 36 points checked in second on the club. • Greg Pateryn (2009-12), D, San Jose Sharks: Began the year with the 24-13-3 Minnesota Wild before being traded to Colorado Jan. 19 … Recorded two assists in 11 contests between the two clubs, having spent a portion of the season with the Avalanche's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Colo- rado Eagles … Was dealt to the 18-18-4 San Jose Sharks April 10 and immedi- ately assigned to their AHL squad, the San Jose Barracuda. • Jacob Trouba (2013), D, New York Rangers: Recorded one goal and 10 assists in 33 contests. • Zach Werenski (2015-16), D, Co- lumbus Blue Jackets: Registered seven goals and 13 assists in 35 games for the 15-20-8 Blue Jackets … Announced April 9 he would miss the rest of the year with a sports hernia injury that will require surgery. ❑ HEADLINERS Former Michigan athletes in the news this month Mason Cole • NFL The Arizona Cardinals traded the 25-year-old center to the Min- nesota Vikings March 25, even though he started all 14 games he appeared in with them last season. Cole spent each of his first three NFL campaigns with Arizona. Duncan Robinson • NBA With a 6-of-9 show- ing from deep April 3 against Cleveland, the Miami Heat forward became the fastest player in NBA history to knock down 450 career three-pointers. It took Robinson just 138 games to reach the milestone. Chris Wormley • NFL The Pittsburgh Steel- ers re-signed the de- fensive end March 18, inking him to a two- year contract worth $3.3 million with a $1.2 million signing bonus.
