The placement marked a season best for the Wolfpack before it enters the postseason. The Pack claimed victo- ries in nine of its final 10 matches of the regular season, including wins over No. 12 Virginia, No. 13 Duke and No. 29 Miami. The lone defeat was a road loss to top-ranked North Carolina. NC State finished the regular season 16-4 overall, placing third in the ACC standings with a 10-3 conference record. 2 Division I men's college golf teams claimed four tournament titles in the 2021 regular season: No. 1 Oklahoma and NC State. The Wolfpack was No. 8 in the GolfStat.com rankings as of April 13, which was good for fourth-best in the ACC be - hind No. 2 Florida State, No. 4 Clemson and No. 6 Wake Forest. The Pack earned victories in its last four events of the regular sea- son: The General Hackler Championship in Myrtle Beach, S.C. (15 teams); the Schenkel Invitational in Statesboro, Ga. (13 teams); the Hootie at Bulls Bay in Awendaw, S.C. (16 teams); and the Stitch Inter - collegiate in Cary, N.C. (12 teams). 8 Was NC State's ranking in ESPN's women's college basketball way-too-early top 25 prior to the announcement that seniors KAYLA JONES, Kai Crutchfield and Raina Perez will all return in 2021-22.
