AUGUST 2021 THE WOLVERINE 71   MICHIGAN IN THE PROS RECAPPING THE 2020-21 SEASON FOR FORMER WOLVERINES ON NBA ROSTERS • Ignas Brazdeikis (Played at U-M from 2018-19), F, Orlando Magic: Av- eraged 0.5 points and 0.5 rebounds in just 1.8 minutes of action in four games for the New York Knicks, before be - ing traded to the Philadelphia 76ers March 25 … Did not score and pulled down only two rebounds in one ap- pearance for Sixers before being waived April 8 … Signed with Orlando May 2 for the rest of the season … Averaged 29.3 minutes, 11.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists in eight appearances with the Magic, while shooting 44.3 percent from the field and 40.7 percent from long range. • Trey Burke (2011-13), G, Dallas Mavericks: Registered 6.6 points, 1.3 assists and 0.9 rebounds in 14.7 minutes per game in 62 appearances with one start during the regular sea- son … Totaled one point, one assist and one rebound in two postseason appearances. • Tim Hardaway Jr. (2010-13), G/F, Dallas Mavericks: Started 31 of 70 reg- ular-season games, and generated 16.6 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists per contest in 28.4 minutes … Played in all seven playoff games, with the Maver- icks having lost to the Los Angeles Clip- pers in round one, and contributed 17.0 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists per outing in 37.4 minutes. • Caris LeVert (2012-16), G, Indi- ana Pacers: Averaged 18.5 points, 6.0 assists and 4.3 rebounds in 12 games (four starts) for the Brooklyn Nets, be- fore being traded to the Pacers Jan. 16 … Under went successful surger y Jan. 26 to treat renal cell carcinoma (a form of kidney cancer) … Started all 35 games he played in for the Pacers, and averaged 20.7 points, 4.9 assists and 4.6 rebounds in 32.9 minutes per contest with his new club. • Jordan Poole (2017-19), G, Golden State Warriors: Recorded 12.0 points (fourth on team), 1.9 assists and 1.8 re- bounds per game in 51 contests with seven starts, while shooting 43.2 per- cent from the field and 35.1 percent from three-point range … Spent a por- tion of the season with the G-League's Santa Cruz Warriors but was called back up and made a significant impact in the second half of the campaign. • Duncan Robinson (2014-18), F, Mi- ami Heat: Started all 72 showdowns during the regular season, and posted 13.1 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 31.4 minutes per game … Shot 43.9 percent overall and a team-best 40.8 percent from beyond the arc, with his 3.5 made triples per outing ranking fifth in the NBA … Began all four postseason games, with his Heat being swept by eventual NBA champion Milwaukee, and averaged 12.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists per contest while shoot- ing 37.0 percent from long range. • Glenn Robinson III (2012-14), F, Free Agent: Started two of the 23 con- tests he participated in for the Sacra- mento Kings, and averaged 5.3 points and 2.0 rebounds in 16.0 minutes per game … Waived by the Kings Feb. 24 and wasn't picked up by another club before season's end. • Moritz Wagner (2015-18), F, Or- lando Magic: Competed in 25 contests (13 starts) for the Washington Wizards, and tallied 7.1 points, 2.9 rebounds and 15.0 minutes per game … Traded to the Celtics March 25 … Started four of the nine games he appeared in with Boston, and notched 1.2 points and 2.1 rebounds in 6.8 minutes per contest before being waived April 16 … Signed by Orlando April 27, where he con- cluded the campaign … Started 10 of 11 games with the Magic, and recorded 11.0 points, 4.9 boards and 1.1 assists per game while shooting 40.9 percent from the field and playing 26.0 minutes per contest. • D.J. Wilson (2014-17), F, Houston Rockets: Averaged 3.6 points and 2.1 rebounds in 8.8 minutes per contest in his 12 appearances for the Milwaukee Bucks … Traded to the Houston Rockets March 19, and started one of his 23 ap- pearances with his new club … Scored 6.1 points and added 3.8 rebounds in 14.3 minutes per outing. WHERE THINGS STAND FOR 10 TOP WOLVERINES IN THE NFL Fifty-one Wolverines have reported to or plan to attend NFL training camps ahead of the 2021 season, but here is an update on the 10 most notable former U-M players in the league: • Tom Brady (1995-99), QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Heading into his 22nd season in the league and second with Tampa Bay, after leading the Bucs to a Super Bowl victory last year … He earned up his fifth Super Bowl MVP tro- phy and seventh career title, the most out of any player in history … This sum- mer it was revealed that he played all of last season with a torn MCL, an injury that required offseason surgery … He is reportedly 100 percent healthy going into training camp … Ranked as the seventh-best player in the league by Pro Football Focus. • Devin Bush Jr. (2016-18), LB, Pitts- burgh Steelers: Suffered a torn ACL in the fifth game of the season last year, forcing him to miss the remainder of the campaign … Reports say he is fully cleared to participate in training camp, where he'll battle to regain his start- ing inside linebacker job … He has ac- cumulated 135 tackles, including nine stops for loss, during his 21-game NFL career. • Frank Clark (2011-14), DE, Kansas Indiana Pacers guard Caris LeVert was not qualified for the league's statistical rankings because he did not play in the minimum 70 percent of games, but if he did his average of 20.2 points per contest (in 47 contests with two teams) would have ranked 32nd in the NBA.
