Aside from Roye and Wagner, the remaining targets in the Class of 2022 haven't announced any firm commit- ment dates yet. We know Penn State has interest in potentially adding an- other wide receiver to the class, and there are three players to focus on: An- dre Greene of Richmond, Va.; Darrius Clemons of Portland, Ore.; and Omari Evans of Killeen, Texas. Greene, who is ranked 36th nation- ally by Rivals, is the top target among that group. His top six includes Penn State, Clemson, Georgia, LSU, North Carolina and Oregon. It's believed that Penn State sits somewhere in the middle of that group, with Clemson, Georgia and possibly North Carolina holding an edge at the moment. Greene attended Clemson's season- opening game against Georgia and is thinking about taking an official visit to Penn State. Clemons is down to Penn State, Au- burn and Oregon, and most believe that the Tigers are the team to beat. He visited Auburn for its season opener against Akron, and it's still unclear if he'll return to Penn State for an unof- ficial visit after using his official visit in June. Evans is probably the most realistic possibility in the group. He was con- sidering a visit for the game against Auburn, but as of early September it was still up in the air. Rutgers and Vanderbilt are also serious contenders to sign Evans. Linebacker and defensive end are the other key positions to monitor. Defen- sive end Tyreese Fearbry of Pittsburgh is still considering Penn State after he decommitted in July. There's also in- terest in DJ Wesolak of Boonville, Mo., although Penn State was still monitor- ing his film to get a feel for how hard the coaches plan to pursue him. At linebacker, Jaishawn Barham of St. Frances in Baltimore may be the most realistic target. He took an un- official visit to Penn State this past summer and is believed to be seriously considering Florida, Maryland and South Carolina. The staff is also still pushing for Miami native Wesley Bissainthe, who took an official visit back in June. However, most expect him to stay close to home, with Manny Diaz and his staff at Miami believed to be the favorites. ■ P E N N S T A T E C O M M I T M E N T S * C L A S S O F 2 0 2 2 NAME POS HT WT RATING HOME SCHOOL Drew Allar QB 6-5 220 ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Medina, Ohio Medina Jordan Allen DB 6-0 180 ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lafayette, La.
