Kevin Givens, DT, San Francisco 49ers: Givens contributed one tackle to the 49ers' victory over Detroit in the opening week of play. Robbie Gould, K, San Francisco 49ers: Gould began his 17th season in the league by connecting on two of his three field goal attempts against the Lions — including one from 52 yards — and knocking through all five of his extra points. Yetur Gross-Matos, DE, Carolina Panthers: Gross-Matos contributed two tackles, including one tackle for loss, in the Panthers' 19-14 victory over the New York Jets. KJ Hamler, WR, Denver Broncos: Hamler caught three of his four targets for 41 yards in the Broncos' victory over the Giants. Chris Hogan, WR, New Orleans Saints: The Penn State lacrosse alum is still getting it done in the NFL after a brief hiatus. In New Orleans' season- opening romp over Green Bay, he had one catch for 10 yards and a touchdown. Jesse James, TE, Chicago Bears: James played nine snaps and did not make a reception in Chicago's 34-14 loss to the host Los Angeles Rams. Austin Johnson, DT, New York Gi- ants: Johnson posted one of the stand- out defensive performances by a Nit- tany Lion in Week 1, recording a sack and five tackles in New York's loss to the Broncos. Juwan Johnson, TE, New Orleans Saints: Johnson, a former Nittany Lion who finished out his collegiate career at Oregon, transitioned from receiver to tight end this offseason, and the change paid immediate dividends. Johnson caught two touchdown passes — the first and second of his career — from Jameis Winston in Week 1 action to help the Saints defeat the Packers. DaQuan Jones, DT, Carolina Pan- thers: Jones made two tackles against the visiting Jets in a Week 1 victory. Connor McGovern, OL, Dallas Cowboys: McGovern got the start at guard for the Cowboys in their Thurs- day night loss to the Buccaneers. Carl Nassib, DE, Las Vegas Raid- ers: Nassib produced a huge moment in a win for his team, sacking Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and forc- ing a fumble in overtime that led to the Raiders' winning touchdown in a 33-27 victory over Baltimore. Amani Oruwariye, CB, Detroit Lions: Oruwariye made one tackle in Detroit's loss to San Francisco. He could step into a more important role for the Lions now that cornerback Jeff Okudah is out for the season with an Achilles injury. Odafe Oweh, DE, Baltimore Ra- vens: Oweh made the most of his rookie debut, sacking Raiders quarterback Derek Carr in a loss on Monday Night Football. Micah Parsons, LB, Dallas Cow- boys: Parsons started for Dallas in his rookie debut against Tampa Bay, finish- ing the game with seven tackles. Allen Robinson II, WR, Chicago Bears: Robinson caught six passes for 35 yards in the Bears' loss to the Rams. Miles Sanders, RB, Philadelphia Eagles: Sanders was involved on the ground and through the air for the Eagles in their 32-6 victory over At- lanta, carrying the ball 15 times for 74 yards and adding four receptions for 39 yards. Nick Scott, S, Los Angeles Rams: Scott made one tackle in the Rams' vic- tory over the Bears on Sunday Night Football. Donovan Smith, OL, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Smith started for the Buccaneers in their season-opening victory over Dallas on Thursday Night Football. ■ First-round draft pick Odafe Oweh tallied a sack for the Baltimore Ravens in his NFL debut, a 33-27 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night Football.
