Curtis and Jackie Dail www.backyardbistro.com • 919.851.6203 Across from the RBC Center Measurables: At the Rocky River Shrine Bowl combine, he measured 6-5 and 198 pounds, ran the 40-yard dash in 5.16 seconds and the shuttle in 4.57 seconds, had a 30.6-inch vertical leap and did 13 reps at 185 pounds on the bench press. Stats: Completed 75 of 168 passes for around 1,400 yards with 11 touchdowns and seven interceptions, and ran for five scores as a junior. Rivals.com rankings: Three-star prospect and the No. 29 player in the state. Colleges: Verbally committed to NC State in May. Scouting report: McClendon is not as polished or athletic as Grier, but his overall potential is probably higher. McClendon has the prototypical quarterback frame and arm strength. He has an easy throwing motion that can spiral a ball more than 60 yards downfield. While he is not fast, McClendon has a smooth running motion and is not a statue in the pocket. He hangs tough even when tacklers are trying to bring him down and can deliver positive scrambling yards. The biggest task for McClendon is improving his accuracy and developing a better feel for the game. 16. Offensive lineman Will Richardson Burlington Cummings High Measurables: Listed at 6-6 and 330 pounds. Rivals.com rankings: Three-star prospect, the No.  7 recruit from the state and the No. 41 offensive tackle in the country. Colleges: Verbally committed to Virginia in May. Scouting report: No offensive lineman in the state has a better frame than Richardson, who has worked hard over the past few years to slim down and possess a relatively lean looking body. Richardson also has great power and drives very well on run blocking. He needs to work on his foot speed for pass blocking. 17. Linebacker Cayson Collins Charlotte Berry Academy Measurables: At the Rocky River Shrine Bowl combine, check in at 6-1 and 213 pounds, ran the 40-yard dash in 4.75 seconds and the shuttle in 4.44 seconds, had a 33.1-inch vertical leap and did 15 reps at 185 pounds on the bench press. Stats: Tallied 110 tackles (74 solo), one interception and three forced fumbles, and returned a fumble for a touchdown as a junior. Rivals.com rankings: Three-star recruit, the No. 22 player in the state and the No. 39 outside linebacker in the country. Colleges: Verbally committed to North Carolina in April. Scouting report: Collins needs to get bigger and stronger, but he has impressive athleticism for a linebacker. He is a good blitzer and a physical tackler. 18. Defensive end Harold Landry Fayetteville Pine Forest Measurables: At the South Johnston Shrine Bowl 146  ■  the wolfpacker 144-147.FB Recruiting.indd 146 7/2/13 9:58 AM
