■ In A Class Of Their Own
A sold-out crowd at historic Reynolds Coli-
seum on Senior Day Feb. 20 celebrated one of
the best classes in NC State women's basket-
ball history. Raina Perez (No. 2), Kai Crutchfield
(No. 3), Kayla Jones (No. 25) and Elissa Cunane
(No. 33) have helped the Pack win back-to-
back ACC Tournament titles (2020 and '21),
clinch the program's first regular-season title
(2022) in 32 years, reach three straight Sweet
16s (2019, '20 and '21), earn the program's
first-ever No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament
(2021) and spend 32 straight weeks ranked
nationally in the top five of the Associated
Press poll (as of Feb. 28).
In the five years since Crutchfield and Jones
first arrived, joined a year later by Cunane and
last season by Perez, the Wolfpack has gone
128-25 (.837 winning percentage).
