East Forsyth defensive back Isaiah Crowell's father, Germane, starred for the Detroit Lions before injuries shortened his career. He caught 81 passes for 1,338 yards and seven touchdowns in 1999 with the Lions and finished with 184 recep- tions for 2,722 yards and 16 scores. • On3 Consensus four-star defensive lineman Brandon Cleveland from Tampa (Fla.) Carrollwood Day has a cousin, Tyrie Cleveland, who played the past two seasons with the Denver Broncos, primarily as a member of its practice squad. • Greensboro (N.C.) Northern Guilford receiver TERRELL TIMMONS JR.'S cousin is Keenan Allen, a star with the Los Angeles Chargers. Allen, a fellow Greensboro native and also a product of Northern Guilford, has exceeded 1,100 yards receiving in four of his past five seasons in the NFL. 12 Players who are not transfers from major col- lege programs signed with NC State, which rep- resents — by a significant margin — the fewest in a single class under head coach Dave Doeren.
