NFL DRAFT PREVIEW The NFL Draft runs April 28-30 in Las Vegas, and there should be several Wolverines that are selected in the annual event. Here's where things stand for each draft hopeful as of mid-March: TOP HEAVY Three Wolverines Could Hear Their Names Called In The NFL Draft's First Round, Headlined By Potential No. 1 Overall Pick Aidan Hutchinson BY ANTHONY BROOME Safety Daxton Hill Projection: First-/Second-Round Pick Former five-star recruit Daxton Hill turned heads at the NFL Combine, putting up plenty of eye- popping testing numbers. NFL teams can now use that information and the variety of roles he played at Michigan to paint a picture of what's next for him. Many believe that his ability to line up at different positions will be his biggest asset at the next level. "Hill is an extremely versatile player at the back end of [Michigan's] defense," The Draft Net- work wrote. "He can play single-high free safety, nickel, outside corner and even has aligned as a dime backer. His blend of athleticism and tough- ness are exactly what NFL defensive coordinators are looking for out of a defensive back as it allows them to be creative on where he is utilized." NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah cited Hill's natural foot- ball IQ and instincts as something that will suit him best at the next level. "Let's start with the instincts and the eyes, being able to get your eyes on the quarterback," he said. "He's out- standing, too, being able to float underneath. … The ball skills are outstanding — he can locate it and he can finish. And then as a blitzer, watch out. He is explosive. When we look at the way he's mov- ing out here on the field, it's a solid day for him on the field."
