but everybody else's," McDaniel said. "I
feel like I have a bigger chip on my shoul-
der.
"I'm just studying the game, getting
more familiar with it, watching some of
their games, getting more familiar with
their plays before I get out there and just
being a student of the game. Making sure
I'm fully locked in for when I get there.
"I'm very excited. I've been talking
about it since I committed, and the time
is finally ticking down and coming to this
point. I'm just ready to get on campus
and work with the guys." ❏
McDaniel was named first-team All-Met by
The Washington Post and earned confer-
ence MVP honors while leading his Fairfax
(Va.) Paul VI team to the Washington Catholic
Athletic Conference tournament title.
