32 CAVALIER CORNER FEATURING THE 2023 VIRGINIA BASEBALL HALL OF FAME CLASS: The Virginia Baseball program will induct its sixth class into the Virginia Baseball Hall of Fame featuring five new members as part this year's Step Up to the Plate event. Events Includes: Autographs with the 2022-2023 Virginia Baseball Team, Din- ner, Silent & Live Auctions and the induction of the 2023 Virginia Baseball Hall of Fame Class, and hear from select cur- rent and former Virginia Baseball Team Members. Events Timeline: 4:15 p.m. – Pre-event reception for table sponsors 5:15 p.m. – Doors open, silent auction and autograph session 6:00 p.m. – Welcome and Virginia Baseball team introductions 6:45 p.m. – Buffet dinner 7:30 p.m. – Live auction 7:45 p.m. – 2023 Virginia Baseball Hall of Fame induction ceremony (Note: Programming times during event are subject to change) Buy your tickets today – the event is expected to sell out! To purchase tickets, call the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office at 800.542.UVA1. General admission tickets for the event will be digital and sent to individuals in January. Attendees will present their digital tickets at the door to be scanned. To sponsor a table and receive VIP benefits, call the Virginia Athletics Foundation at 800.626.8723. Table sponsor tickets will be printed and mailed in early January. Adult Tickets: $75 Youth Tickets (12 and Under): $10* Sponsored tables: $3,000** *Youth tickets include a special Virginia Baseball signed item **Sponsored tables include eight (8) tickets to the pre-event reception with special guests, eight (8) general admission 2023 Virginia Baseball season tickets (no trade opportunity for reserved seats), eight (8) reserved table tickets to the event, baseball student-athlete seated at the reserved table, and a special Virginia Baseball keepsake. We know that you're excited about the prospective student- athletes who will be attending the University of Virginia in Fall 2023. However, please remember that you cannot recruit prospective student-athletes in any manner. NCAA rules outline who is permitted to engage in recruiting activi- ties. Specifically, NCAA rules state that only coaches can engage in off-Grounds contact, telephone calls, sending text messages and email, making contact via social media and having contact on- Grounds. You may be tempted to reach out to prospective student-athletes on social media and encourage them to attend the University of Virginia. Or approach a prospective student-athlete when they're vis- iting the University of Virginia. We appreciate this passion. However, our coaches are educated about NCAA rules and are best equipped to recruit prospective student-athletes.
