Class Of 2024 Scholarship Offer Master List RECRUITING NOTES • Blue & Gold Illustrated learned that 2025 class safety Matai Tagoa'i will visit Notre Dame for the Pittsburgh game Oct. 28. It will be the four-star prospect from San Clemente (Calif.) High's first trip to South Bend. Irish safeties coach Chris O'Leary offered the 6-foot-4, 185-pounder dur- ing the program's Pot of Gold Day campaign March 17. For the recruiting mailing, 64 other 2025 recruits — including five safeties — reported receiv- ing the St. Patrick's Day-themed offers. Tagoa'i is the No. 17 prospect in California, and the No. 13 safety and No. 147 overall player nationally in the 2025 recruiting cycle according to On3. On Aug. 9, Tagoa'i told Blue & Gold Illustrated he prioritized visiting Notre Dame this football season. "I'm going to make it a big priority to see Notre Dame," he said. "I have really high thoughts on Notre Dame. I need to get on campus." Tagoa'i reported 23 scholarship offers, including 20 from Power Five pro- grams. Among them, he's visited Southern California, UNLV, Arizona State, Oklahoma, Arizona and Central Florida. His Notre Dame visit will be his first game-day visit during the 2023 sea- son and his first to a Midwestern school. • Safety recruiting seems to be in pretty good shape for the Fighting Irish in the 2025 cycle. Of the safety recruits that Notre Dame offered on Pot of Gold Day, four-stars Jordan Young and Trey McNutt and three-star Tre' Harrison have already visited campus. O'Leary eventually offered four-stars Ivan Taylor and JaDon Blair, three- star Ethan Long and Jayce Cora within the last four months. Winter Garden (Fla.) West Orange's Taylor, the No. 12 safety and No. 134 overall player nationally per On3, will also visit for the Pitt game. On3 evaluates Taylor as the No. 24 prospect in Florida. Shaker Heights (Ohio) High's McNutt, who On3 considers the No. 4 ath- lete and No. 60 overall player in the country, plans to return to campus for the third time Oct. 14 when Notre Dame faces Southern California. McNutt is an Ohio State legacy and the No. 1 recruit in the Buckeye State. Winston-Salem (N.C.) Mount Tabor's Blair, the No. 3 prospect in North Carolina per On3, first visited Notre Dame for its "Grill & Chill" recruiting event July 30. Blair, who is also On3's No. 2 safety and No. 26 overall player in the land, returned for the Ohio State game Sept. 23. Young's first and only Notre Dame visit took place March 25. Coming out of Monroe (N.C.) High, he's the No. 2 recruit in North Carolina as well as the nation's No. 1 athlete No. 15 overall player. On3 currently ranks Greenwich (Conn.) Brunswick's Long as the No. 4 prospect in Connecticut and the No. 32 safety in America. On3 has not yet rated Cora. • While Notre Dame makes headway with other safety recruits, the Irish are not in contact with Harrison as often. The 5-11, 165-pounder from Artesia (Calif.) Junipero Serra is a three-star prospect, the No. 43 recruit in California and the No. 39 safety in the land in 2025 per On3. Harrison visited Notre Dame June 20 and participated in its Evaluation Camp II. His only other scholarship offers are from Boston College and Colorado State. — Kyle Kelly Follow @ByKyleKelly on X for daily recruiting updates on BlueandGold.com!
