4 THE WOLVERINE ❱ NOVEMBER 2023 DONOVAN EDWARDS A TRUE TEAM PLAYER He is all about the team, and even though he's not playing like last season's explosiveness, he's still got time left, including the big games when the lights shine bright and he plays his best. Never forget he's a Buckeye killer, and Mike Hart will have to play him in these big games to win it. No stat padding gonna happen when real money on the line. godzilla8 Donovan on the field hasn't been himself this year … but my prediction, is at some point, he'll make a huge difference at an important part of a big game to help save a loss from happening. Saturday Glad to see his spirits are still good. Part of the is- sue for him is that the line is inarguably worse this year. Edwards has missed a few opportunities to be sure, but the majority of his opportunities have been on plays where there is not much if anything there. Corum is shiftier in the backfield and has had more success but even against the dregs of our weak schedule we are not getting many long runs. ... While we are blowing people out, I for one am concerned that we are just an average rushing team despite our all-world backfield. Shroomprint Love Dono! Never forget the plays he's made! He'll be a legend forever. All the faith in the world he gets it together this year. Ronzopleaj3 He's only had one double-digit carry game since Week 1. Same last year. He didn't take off 'til the second half of the season when we needed him. Dude is just fine. He'll be there for us when it matters most. Zak702 ANYONE ELSE LOSE THEIR MIND WHEN … … J.J. ran that seemingly called draw against Indiana up 35-7, got drilled and looked shaken up? So odd. I get giving the guys more action, but there are better ways to do it than running them up the middle in a game that's over. Bet the season there with no upside. Corum was in late, too. Shades of Morris vs. Nebraska. Anyway, good win, hopefully the boys are healthy. MH20 Totally agree ... No idea what the coaches were thinking. Our season depends on J.J. staying healthy. Edgewood The hit was not nearly as brutal, but I remember the hit Robert Griffith III (RG3) took from Haloti Ngata of the Ravens. He ended up injured and never was effective again. One of the most brutal hits I've ever seen (one in Tampa Bay where Eric Hipple lost his helmet was another). OK to run, but don't start spinning in the middle of the field. Personally, up that many points Mc- Carthy should have been in personal protect mode. Glad to see Harbaugh sat him after that. Michigan1962 I get it, we can't have him get hurt, but people are way overboard anytime he gets touched. djsjr5 If I was going to "lose my mind" at any point he gets hit, it'd have been on any of the 4 sacks they gave up today … The Sportsball Zone Didn't love it. Didn't lose my mind. It's football.
