P enn State was without standout junior defensive end Chop Rob- inson for the second time in as many weeks when it faced Maryland on Nov. 4. For the Terrapins, however, the PSU defensive star's absence was no reprieve. The Nittany Lions' pass rush thrived without Robinson in a 51-15 blowout victory. Penn State kept Maryland quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa under heavy pressure throughout the after- noon. Although he found success when he had time to locate his receivers, completing his first 17 pass attempts of the game, he often didn't have much time to unload the ball. The Lions totaled 6 sacks, and they also forced turnovers on three consecutive posses- sions in the fourth quarter.
