Ethan Grunkemeyer QB | 6-2 | 190 | Lewis Center, Ohio Grunkemeyer earned an offer from Penn State in April and committed to the Nittany Lions a month later. He was not well known nationally at the time, but that changed in July when he earned top-performer honors at the Elite 11 Fi- nals in Los Angeles. Now, Grunkemeyer is ranked by On3 as the No. 7 quarterback in the country and No. 107 overall prospect. A four- star player who intends to enroll in January, he totaled 3,517 yards passing, 39 touchdowns and 9 interceptions for Olentangy High as a senior. Donovan Harbour OL | 6-3 | 325 | Waukesha, Wis. Harbour earned an offer from Penn State in April 2022, but it wasn't until the Blue-White Game this past spring that he visited for the first time. The Catholic Memorial guard saw all he needed to see on that trip and commit- ted to Penn State a few days later on April 18. Listed as the nation's No. 40 interior offensive lineman in the On3 Industry Ranking, Harbour earned offers from Iowa, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, Ten- nessee and Wisconsin, among others. Jaylen Harvey DE | 6-2 | 245 | Potomac, Md. Harvey came close to committing a few times last summer but ultimately decided to wait until the fall. The Quince Orchard prospect narrowed his list to Penn State, Maryland and USC in August. He then decided to visit all three in the first half of the season, with Penn State hosting him last for its White Out win over Iowa on Sept. 23. After thinking it over for a few weeks, Harvey picked the Lions over the Trojans on Oct. 16. Harvey holds a three-star rating from On3 but is a four-star prospect and the nation's No. 36 edge rusher in the In- dustry Ranking. As a senior, he totaled 21 tackles, including 7 for loss, 4 sacks and a safety, in his first eight games. Harvey plans to enroll at Penn State in January. Kari Jackson LB | 6-1 | 220 | Bloomfield Hills, Mich. Jackson was the third player to join Penn State's 2024 class, announcing his decision in February. After spending his sophomore year at IMG Academy in Florida, Jackson returned to West Bloomfield as a junior and visited PSU three times prior to his commitment. The three-star linebacker totaled more than two dozen scholarship offers, in- cluding notable schools like Michigan, Michigan State, Tennessee and Wis- consin. As a junior, Jackson totaled 103 tack- les, including 26 for loss and 3 sacks. He ended up missing his senior season after suffering an undisclosed injury. Jackson plans to enroll early at Penn State. Dejuan Lane S | 6-2 | 200 | Baltimore Lane kept the details of his recruit- ment largely out of the public eye. We know he earned an offer from Penn State in May 2022 and visited for the first time in November for last year's regular-season finale against Michigan State. He returned to campus one more time for his official visit and ended up announcing his decision by the time the trip was finished on June 4. The Gil- man School safety later told BWI that Georgia, Michigan, Maryland and Notre Dame were the other schools he con- sidered. A four-star prospect, Lane is listed No. 276 nationally in the On3 Industry Ranking. Quinton Martin RB | 6-1 | 190 | Belle Vernon, Pa. Martin is the second-ranked prospect in Penn State's 2024 class according to the On3 Industry Ranking, checking in at No. 56 nationally and No. 3 among athletes. He was also one of the most coveted players in the class, with Penn State beating out Florida State, Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, Pitt, West Vir- ginia and many others. After claiming Belle Vernon's first state championship last year, Martin and his teammates were headed back in the PIAA Class AAA title game on Dec. 9. He had totaled 959 yards rushing, 645 yards receiving and 25 touchdowns. Recruited as a running back, Martin plans to enroll at Penn State in January. Jon Mitchell CB | 5-11 | 175 | Jacksonville, Fla. Mitchell was one of assistant coach Terry Smith's top cornerback targets in the class. He's listed 132nd overall in the On3 Industry Ranking and is even more highly regarded by On3's scouts, coming in at No. 82 nationally and No. 10 among cornerbacks. The Mandarin High defensive back had serious interest in Florida State, Miami and Notre Dame but ultimately committed to Penn State on April 1 following a multi-day visit with high school teammate and future Nittany Lion Antoine Belgrave-Shorter.
