"What stands out to me is how great their defense has always been," Carter said. "They have always been a top- three team in the Big Ten, and I was impressed with what they were able to produce with their D-linemen this year." Ranked by On3 as the No. 39 de- fensive lineman and No. 67 player in Florida, Carter has an official visit set with Penn State for June 7-9. He's also planning to check out Florida (May 31- June 2), Central Florida (June 14-16) and Miami (June 21-23). Four-star edge rusher Max Granville of Sugar Land, Texas, made his way to State College on March 26. Ranked No. 187 in the nation by On3 and No. 19 at his position, Granville has emerged as one of Penn State's most important defensive end targets in this class. The 6-2, 225-pound prospect is believed to be leaning toward Oklahoma, but Penn State has locked in an official visit with him for May 31-June 2. Texas A&M (June 14-16) and Oklahoma (June 21-23) are also set to host him. March 29 also featured two very im- portant prospects for Penn State, with four-star offensive tackle Ziyare Addi- son making the trip north from Tampa and four-star wide receiver Quincy Por- ter visiting from Oradell, N.J.
