APRIL 2025 ❱ THE WOLVERINE 19 yard dash time. After a roller-coaster career at U-M, he feels like the NFL is a clean slate. "The way that I look at it right now is, it's just like high school all over again," Edwards said in Indianapolis before he'd participated in any drills. "Just proving yourself to coaches, to teams, to players, to staff members that you can do it. "I believe that's the position that I'm in right now. Ultimately, I'm grateful for it because it's making me hungry. I've got the fire in my soul and my spirit back again. I'm ready for every opportu- nity possible." NFL.com's profile has Edwards as a potential three-down RB2 at the next level. "A well-built runner with good size, Edwards gets what is blocked for him but lacks creativity and play traits to find pro yardage on a consistent basis," Lance Zierlein wrote. "He won't wiggle his way around tacklers but puts in an honest effort each snap and falls for- ward for additional yardage. He's an adequate pass catcher whose protec- tion improved greatly in 2024. Edwards offers toughness but a modest ceiling as an average three-down backup." MASON GRAHAM Ht./Wt.: 6-3½ • 296 Arm: 32" Hand: 9⅛" Bench press: 24 Outside of putting up 24 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press, Graham was limited during the NFL Combine. A heel bruise kept him out of the rest of the drills with the potential top-five selection electing instead to work out at Michigan's Pro Day on March 21. "I wanted to be able to showcase what I can do," Graham said. "Obviously, I had a little something going on, but looking forward to pro day." His showing against Ohio State last fall may be all that NFL scouts need to flip on to get a sense of what Gra- ham can do. He thinks it was one of his most complete and dominant games in a winged helmet (7 tackles, including 5 solo stops). "When you play at Michigan, that's the biggest game on our schedule, no matter who else we're playing," Graham said. "I feel like I really dominated that game, and I feel like it was a good show- case of what I can do." NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah said during the combine broadcast an- other game that stood out was his per- formance against the USC Trojans in Week 4. "Just watch the USC game, and when it finishes, put your feet up on the desk, have yourself a soda and that's all you need to see," Jeremiah said. "Just watch the USC game, grade the flashes, done. Put your pen down. Done. That's all you need to see." KENNETH GRANT Ht./Wt.: 6-4 • 331 Arm: 33½" Hand: 10⅛" Bench press: 22 Grant was expected to be one of the players who would put on a show at the combine, but a hamstring injury discov- ered in medical testing kept him off the field for workouts. Prior to the revela- tion, Grant told the media he thinks he is a three-down player at his massive size. "I'm a three-down player for sure," Grant said during his media availability in Indy. "I can rush the passer with my strength. I had a little bit of finesse in there. Most guys think I'm just a run- stopper, but I'm super athletic and can rush the passer. Knowing the down, the distance, certain teams' tendencies and what they like to run. But also just tech- nique, my alignment, assignment, and my stance." The U-M tackle was expected to run a 40-yard dash in the 4.9 range, which would have been quite the feat at 331 pounds. "I feel better, more agile, faster, and a lot stronger. I'm trying to get in that 4.9 or 4.8 range, somewhere around there. I'm looking forward to that challenge," he said of his projected 40-yard dash time. "I think I'm more athletic than Cornerback Will Johnson, who missed half the 2024 season with torn ligaments in his toe, is pro- jected as the No. 2 cornerback in the NFL Draft and a likely top-15 overall pick.
