C O M P enn State is seeking to become the first team since Iowa in the late 1990s to win five consecutive NCAA wrestling championships, and it will do so with a roster that still car- ries unmatched talent. New NCAA regulations cap rosters at 30, although a grandfather clause allows Penn State to carry 32 this sea- son. Lineups are capped at 10, though, and the Nittany Lions' lineup could boast as many as eight All-Americans, including one defending NCAA cham- pion. Interestingly, and what speaks vol- umes about the team's talent level, is that only four weight classes are pretty much nailed down. The six others are likely to be decided with in-room bat- tles and coaches' decisions, and some of those decisions will be neither ap- parent nor uncomplicated.
