Listed at 5-foot-11, 180 pounds, he committed to Indiana in the spring before switching his pledge to Florida State in mid-June. It was around that same time that Penn State offered. Throughout most of his recruitment, there were questions about Timmons' overall speed, but he put those concerns to rest this past spring. "I was just super grateful to be able to experience the White Out like that, in all its glory. It was super crazy. That crowd is something different," said Timmons, who is listed as the No. 28 overall pros- pect and No. 2 cornerback nationally and No. 3 player in Pennsylvania. Timmons added that he's intrigued by the opportunity Penn State offers. He said he was impressed with "the atmo- sphere and the culture that they have." "Definitely a cool atmosphere, and it's my home state," he said. "I'm still undecided on everything." Odem is a 6-0, 175-pound corner- back who's committed to Nebraska, while Jackson, a 6-2, 195-pound safety, is pledged to Oregon. Listed by Rivals as the No. 281 overall player and No. 28 cornerback nationally, Odem grew up in Farrell, Pa., and still has family in the state. He's probably the most likely of the three committed defensive backs to join Penn State's class in the months ahead. PSU also hosted three additional 2026 prospects who are committed else- where: offensive tackle Roseby Lubin- tus of Timber Creek High in Blackwood, N.J.; defensive tackle Garrett Wither- ington of Briarwood Christian in Bir- mingham, Ala.; and wide receiver Josiah Teasley of The St. James Academy in Springfield, Va. Both Lubintus and Witherington had yet to comment on their visits as of mid- October, but multiple sources pointed to Lubintus as a player to watch. Ranked as the No. 55 offensive tackle nation- ally and No. 15 player in New Jersey, he was previously committed to Penn State before making a sudden and surprising decision to flip to Syracuse in July. Teasley is committed to Virginia, but the 6-4, 180-pound receiver made it clear that he was seriously considering Penn State after earning an offer from the staff during his visit. "It's definitely a big game-changer," said Teasley, the No. 150 receiver na- tionally and No. 24 prospect in Virginia, per Rivals. "Being able to go up to the White Out game with my brother and experience that was incredible. "Just being able to see one of the great- est atmospheres in all of college football was great. But also, to get an offer from them and knowing I could maybe play in that atmosphere is crazy. It's a blessing. I've come a long way, and it's definitely a big game-changer for me." In the 2027 class, there's no shortage of players to discuss. Penn State running back commit Kemon Spell and corner- back John Meredith of Arlington, Texas, were the only two players on campus who have already earned five-star rat- ings from Rivals. However, there were six additional 2027 prospects who rank among the top 32 players in the coun- try. If they stay that high through next December, that would eventually make them five-star recruits. Quarterback Elijah Haven of Baton Rouge, La., was among that group of potential five-star players. While Ri- vals has him ranked No. 99 nationally and No. 7 among quarterbacks, Haven is considered the No. 1 signal-caller in the country by both 247Sports and ESPN. That makes the 6-4, 220-pound prospect the top-ranked player at the position in the Rivals Industry Rank- ing, which is a weighted average of the grades from the three major recruiting websites. "They made a great first impression," said Kwame Haven, Elijah's father. "Just the way the staff and Coach Franklin carry themselves made us feel really special. It made us feel like that could be a place Elijah could grow and thrive." Penn State is continuing to pursue 2026 lineman Roseby Lubintus. A three-star offensive tackle, Lubintus flipped from PSU to Syracuse in July but appears to be reconsidering that decision. PHOTO COURTESY RIVALS
