MAY 2026 ❱ THE WOLVERINE 69 ❱ WHERE ARE THEY NOW? Wormley, who played in 51 games with 30 starts and recorded 123 tackles, 33 tackles for loss and 18 sacks, was selected in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens, allowing him to start his pro career with another Har- baugh at the helm, this time with John Harbaugh. There were some tonal simi- larities between the two brothers, but also some notable differences. "I would say their father, Jack Har- baugh, is the commonality and the foun- dation he laid in terms of how he wants football to be played," Wormley said. "Their styles are very similar: hard- nosed, physical, tough, demanding, ac- countability. They're looking to run the ball first and have great defenses. That's what you've seen throughout both of their careers. "I would go get a beer with John. Not that I wouldn't with Jim, but I would much rather enjoy a beer with John. Jim's personality is very different and quirky, but it works. Especially those first two seasons when I was with him and we were looking for something different. We wanted a change and someone to lead us, and I think he was the right guy. "They're brothers, so they're very sim- ilar in mentality and sayings. You walk into the Ravens facility and it says, 'The team, the team, the team.' That mindset probably goes back to Jack, and Jim's time playing at Michigan. It's carried into their coaching careers." Wormley spent time with four organi- zations in nine seasons in the NFL, and there are lessons from Ann Arbor that have carried into his professional and personal lives. "Definitely off the field, the term 'Michigan Man' is a real thing," Worm- ley said. "The discipline, accountability, attention to detail, the adversity you go through — that led me down a path of re- siliency, especially in my NFL career with the ups and downs. Even when things weren't looking the brightest, sticking with it. "On the field, it prepared me for playing college football at the highest level, being around great talent and great coaches, and learning from that to take to the next level. "That term Michigan Man holds a lot of weight. I don't know if a lot of guys realize that when they're actually at Michigan, but as time goes on, it shows itself." ❏ Wormley, a third-round NFL Draft pick by the Baltimore Ravens, has played for four pro teams in nine years in the league. He has been with the Indianapolis Colts since 2025. It was a dogfight. I think we won 13-10. It starts snowing, and it's senior day, my last game at the Big House. It snowed enough that we could do snow angels on the field. There's a picture of Mo Hurst and me doing snow angels. That's a memory that sticks with me a lot. I wish it were beating Ohio State or going to the Big Ten championship, but I'll take that senior day memory forever." Favorite Place on Campus: "I'd say South Quad. That was my first dorm in my freshman year. That's where a lot of memories were made. Tom Strobel was my roommate, and he wound up being my roommate all four years. That's where we became really close. Those memories of being in the dorms, meeting new people, were pretty special."
