And then be an ad- vocate for our football pro- gram on and off the field as we continue to navigate this landscape. The landscape of college football … continues to evolve in a way that chal- lenges athletic departments. It chal- lenges universities. But there are only 105 players on every team, and not only is it my responsibility to bring in the right 105 guys, but then to build that group into a football team that repre- sents our university and our program the right way. So, I'm prob- ably more of a guy who leans heavily into find- ing the right 105 and then building the team the right way. Supporting this univer- sity and our alumni base to wherever that is funded, being able to fund it the right way [is important]. But I think we're bigger than a monetary number. We're more sunk into the characteristics and the traits and finding the right guys who fit who we are and where we want this football team to go. BWI Are you paying attention to all the administrative issues that are play- ing out right now? Have you kept up with the Senate hearings? Playoff ex- pansion? The Brendan Sorsby eligibility case at Texas Tech? CAMPBELL I hear it, but I'm not watching it because I think you can get so lost in the stuff you can't control that you miss the point of what you can con- trol. And to me, the rules will get de- fined — if there are any. But ultimately, you have to build a team that's going to represent you and your university, because in the fall, the games aren't slowing down. The sea- son is coming.
