Senior guard Jerian Grant exploded for a career-high 26 points to help
Notre Dame fend off Miami (Ohio) 74-62 in its season opener at Purcell Pavilion Nov. 8. Grant scored 16 points in the first half and made 9 of 14 shots on
the evening, including 5 of 8 from beyond the three-point arc. He also contributed five assists, three rebounds and two steals. The Irish led by as many
as 16 points and maintained a double-digit lead for most of the second half.
