Under the Dome Top of The Class Irish student-athletes excelling on the field and in the classroom Jeni Houser — Volleyball Notre Dame's junior middle hitter earned third-team All-ACC honors during her first year in the middle of the Irish front line. Houser led her team in attack percentage (.303), points (394) and blocks (117) during the 31-game season. She was the MVP of the Shamrock Invitational Notre Dame hosted earlier in the season. Houser has made an all-conference team in each of her three seasons for the Irish, with the first two coming in the Big East. Cameron Miller — Swimming The junior was part of a medley group that set Notre Dame records on back-to-back days during the first full weekend of December. He swam the breaststroke leg of the 200 and 400 medley relays, with the Irish beating their competitors from Iowa by more than a second in both races. Miller was a four-time captain at nearby Michigan City (Ind.) High and made his collegiate mark by first breaking a school record in the 200 medley relay last winter. Thomas DiPauli — Hockey The Italian-born sophomore will be playing for his adopted United States this month as a member of the U.S. National Team at the World Juniors Championship. DiPauli, a defensive-minded winger for the Irish, was the only member of the Notre Dame team invited to the team's pre-tournament camp in Minnesota in early December. He is the fourth Irish player to make the roster for the U.S. in the past four years. Kaila Barber — Track & Field Notre Dame's top hurdler got her indoor track season off to a fast start with a decisive win at the Blue & Gold Invitational Dec. 6. Barber won the 60-meter hurdles by more than a halfsecond over the second-place finisher. The junior, a former All-Big East sprinter, also finished second in the 60-meter dash later in the day. Her relay team finished third overall in the 4x400 race.
