SIXTH SENSE Second-Year Guard Faith Randolph Has Thrived In Her Role As The First Player Off The Bench F BY SHANE METTLEN aith Randolph came to the University of Virginia accustomed to playing a featured role. A standout at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Olney, Md., Randolph was among the most decorated athletes there — even at a school that has one of the best overall athletic departments in the country and has been a pipeline for UVa athletes in a variety of sports. As a senior in 2012, Randolph was named suburban Maryland's top player by The Gazette and was tabbed first-team All-Met by The Washington Post. ESPN HoopGurlz ranked the 5-10 guard as the No. 26 player in the country after she led Good Counsel to the ultra-competitive Washington Catholic Athletic Conference championship. i18-19.Faith Randolph.indd 1 1/16/14 12:08 PM
