WOMEN'S LACROSSE REUNION The women's lacrosse program invited all la- crosse alumnae to participate in the annual Alumni Palooza weekend March 7-8, 2014 that highlighted the 2004 NCAA Championship team. Approxi- mately 40 alumni returned to Charlottesville with their families and friends to reminisce about their playing days and to support the current team's matchup against UNC. The 22 championship team members who attended the weekend were honored during halftime of the game and received a warm ovation by the crowd. As they were introduced on the field, a video presentation captured highlights from their championship game. Following the game, the alumni, coaches, current team and fami- lies gathered for a memorable reception sponsored by the Virginia Athletics Foundation with video interviews, championship highlights and speeches by the 2004 team captains. It was a special week- end and the lacrosse program hopes to continue the reunion tradition each spring. Head Coach Julie Myers commented, "What an amazing turn out for Alumni Palooza and the 10-year reunion of the NCAA championship title. Seeing the team and their families together again reminiscing of 2004 was a dream come true. The memories, smiles and laughter were straight from the heart and so great to hear and to feel. I left the reception as proud of the women now as I was the day we won it all.
