FOOTBALL RECRUITING IMAN MARSHALL CB • 6-1 • 190 Long Beach, Calif. (Long Beach Poly) Junior Statistics: Tallied 64 tackles and one interception. 247Sports Rankings: Five-star prospect, the No. 6 overall recruit in the country, the No. 1 cornerback nationally and the No. 2 player in California. Skinny: Landing the top cornerback in the country would send shockwaves throughout the nation, and while it's a long shot it's not com- pletely out of the question for Notre Dame. USC is the favorite due to its proximity, its ties to the Poly High School program and the fact Marshall grew up cheering for the Trojans. The 6-1, 190-pounder is about as close to a lock to USC as you will find in recruiting, but Marshall maintains that he would like to take official visits to Notre Dame and Florida State be- fore making his final decision known on National Signing Day. If the Irish staff gets him on campus their chances improve dramatically, but sources close to the USC program continue to remain confident that he'll be a Trojan in the end. YKILI ROSS CB • 6-2 • 185 Riverside, Calif. (Polytechnic) Junior Statistics: Totaled 13 tackles, six passes broken up and two intercep- tions at cornerback. Caught 45 passes for 935 yards and scored 12 touch- downs at wide receiver. 247Sports Rankings: Four-star recruit, the No. 82 overall player in the 2015 class, the No. 14 prospect in Cali- fornia and — although he's being recruited as a defensive back — the No. 8 wide receiver in the country. Skinny: On July 28, BlueandGold.com reported that Notre Dame was no lon- ger recruiting Philadelphia four-star cornerback John Reid, who picked Penn State the first week of August, and that the Irish were all-in trying to secure a commitment from Ross. The 6-2, 185-pounder visited South Bend June 25 and stayed on campus for four days. During the trip, Ross was attached to the hip of Notre Dame defensive backs coach Kerry Cooks and, per sources close to his recruit- ment, Ross left South Bend high on the Irish. That same source stated that Ross understands how Notre Dame is dif- ferent from UCLA and USC, the two local programs, and knows that at- tending school in South Bend can do great things for his future. The tal- ented California native will return to Notre Dame for an official visit Oct. 4 when Notre Dame takes on Stanford. EQUANIMEOUS ST. BROWN WR • 6-5 • 205 Anaheim, Calif. (Servite) Junior Statistics: Had 42 receptions for 725 yards and six touchdowns. 247Sports Rankings: Four-star prospect,
