More pivotally, and impressively, Andrews scored Notre Dame's second goal in a 2-0 victory at Pittsburgh Oct. 9 after Notre Dame lost earlier in the week to No. 5 Virginia. Andrews leads Notre Dame with two game-winning scores this season. Patrick Hodan — Soccer The junior midfielder's successful penalty kick in the 66th minute against No. 19 Northwestern marked the only goal of the night in the top-20 matchup. The score also extended Hodan's streak to three consecutive games with a tally, including the game-winner over No. 16 Louisville Oct. 10. That goal came in the 98th minute, ending the overtime match immediately and snapping a two-game Irish losing streak. Hodan leads Notre Dame with four goals and 10 points this season to go along with the two game-winners. Matthew Rushton — Golf The sophomore finished in the top five for the third time in his career at the Rod Myers Invitational in North Carolina. After weather shortened the tournament to 36 holes, Rushton shot five under-par, finishing two strokes behind the tournament medalist. Rushton made an eagle on his final hole to move into second place. John Williamson — Swimming & Diving The senior helped propel Notre Dame to a victory over Olivet Nazarene in its first meet of the season, the Dennis Stark Relays Oct. 10. Williamson helped the Irish 400-yard medley relay and the 3x100-yard butterfly relay to victories. TOP OF THE CLASS
