Without a conference championship game to win, Notre Dame might be per‑ ceived as having a bit of a disadvantage, but it is trying to compensate with strong overall schedules. TerryQB: I have been to four signings in the last 20 years (paid), usually groups of Notre Dame or Pittsburgh Steelers fans, or a combo. They are BRUTAL. No one in his right mind would do this for free. I signed between 300 to 500 autographs per ap‑ pearance. It's not only your name. They want you to put extra. Example: Terry Hanratty, #5, 1966 National Champs. Every time I finish I say I'll never do this again. So when you hear someone does this for the fun of it — BS. I have never not signed an autograph outside the Notre Dame or Steeler locker room for free. When you are signing 500, it's a business and everyone is getting paid.
