WRESTLING With five All-America performances, Michigan placed 11th at the NCAA Cham- pionships March 19-21 — its best show- ing since an 11th-place effort in 2012 … U-M's five All-Americans marked the pro- gram's most since having that many in 2007 … Sophomore heavyweight Adam Coon went 4-1 to finish in second place, the best mark by a heavyweight wres- tler at Michigan since Kirk Trost won the NCAA title in 1986 … Coon fell 7-6 to N.C. State's top-seeded Nick Gwiazdowski in the finals … The rest of U-M's All-Amer- icans were: redshirt sophomore Conor Youtsey (sixth place, 125 pounds); sopho- more Brian Murphy (seventh place, 157 pounds); junior Rossi Bruno (eighth place, 133 pounds); and fifth-year senior Max Huntley (eighth place, 197 pounds). ❑ Sophomore Adam Coon went 4-1 to finish in second place at the NCAA Championships, the best showing by a heavyweight at U-M since Kirk Trost won a national title in 1986.
