FROM OUR READERS guez, who came with a track record of success would have had success, but we are well beyond that second- guessing endeavor. Enough said. Spring practice followed by the spring game introduces the beginning of the new football season with all the excitement and anticipation that it brings. Harbaugh and his staff have the task of selecting the best candidate for quarterback for the coming season. The selection process shows promise on paper with several recruiting addi- tions to the group of possibilities. While not downplaying the impor- tance of the offensive line, the quar- terback and running back positions offer the biggest challenge for a suc- cessful campaign in 2015. Too often last year when the line did execute at the line of scrimmage, linebackers roamed free while offensive linemen looked for someone to block. Cleaning that up alone will lead to more opportunities in the running game. Section_6 • Spring ball hardly ever gets too much attention. Especially under the format that Jim [Harbaugh] played with two drafted teams without switching out players. In spring the defense is weeks ahead of the offense simply because of all the timing issues, whether it be blocking schemes, backs hitting the hole From Our Website
