AROUND THE GROUNDS 1 Cavalier in program history who has been named to the All-ACC golf team in each of his four seasons. Denny McCarthy is one of just 16 players in league his- tory to do so, and he helped the team capture a berth to the NCAA Championships with a fourth-place finish in regional play. 2 Wins in two tries for the UVa football team against Indi- ana. The Cavs prevailed in 2009 and 2011; the schools recently announced a two-game series that will be com- peted in 2017 (in Charlottesville) and '18. 3 Years that Virginia has won multiple NCAA team titles, including this year (men's soccer and men's tennis). The other years are 1992-93 (men's soccer and women's lacrosse) and 2009-10 (men's soccer and women's rowing). 5 Schools where basketball assistant Brad Soderberg, who was hired April 17, has served as the head coach — Lindenwood (2009-15), Saint Louis (2002-07), Wisconsin (interim coach in 2000-01), South Dakota State (1993-95) and Loras (1988-93). 6 Straight ACC rowing titles won by No. 3 Virginia; the team has won 15 of the 16 regattas held in league his- tory. The first varsity eight was named ACC Crew of the Year. 15 Is the final point total for the Cavaliers in the Vir- ginia529 Commonwealth Clash, a competition be- tween UVa and Virginia Tech with the highest finisher in each sport's ACC Championship earning a point and one other point being decided by fans.
