They headed back to Omaha for the second consecutive year to compete in and ultimately win the 2015 NCAA baseball national championship. In support of the Cavaliers' return to the College World Series, the Virginia Athletics Foundation provided Virginia Cavaliers items for fans at the team hotel and a kick-off tailgate prior to Virginia's first game. The tailgate took place at The Old Mattress Factory, an Omaha institution close to TD Ameritrade Park and the team hotel. More than 80 Virginia fans, parents and donors came out to cheer on the Hoos and enjoy delicious tailgate fare. Thank you to all VAF members, Cavalier fans and alumni who made the trip to Nebraska and to those who cheered on the team from afar. The coaches and team are very appreciative of the overwhelming support during this history-making College World Series championship season.
