BASKETBALL RECRUITING own," Bossi reported. "For some rea- son, children of pro athletes tend to be late bloomers, and Bibby may fall into this category. "Skinny as a rail the last time Rivals saw him, the six-footer has added strength, and he's an on-the- floor communicator with a good overall skill level. "The release on his jumper is a bit unique in that it almost looks like he is shooting with two hands, but he has pretty deep range. The three-star prospect will be one to watch as the summer goes on." Beilein has been one of the best at identifying and developing late bloomers, and Bibby could be next if he continues to improve. "Michigan has been coming to a couple of my tournament, and I feel like I've been playing really well," Bibby said. "I'm getting back to my old self. My shooting ability is com- ing back; my speed is coming back. Everything's going great." USC and Memphis have already offered, he said, plus Kansas, George- town and Gonzaga are among those joining Michigan in showing interest. "It had been a while since everyone had seen me play because of my inju- ries," he said. "They hadn't seen how I usually play because they haven't seen me since my sophomore year. "Coach Beilein and Coach [Bacari] Alexander have been watching me. They say they like how I play and tell me what I can do to get better. [Assis- tant] Coach [LaVall] Jordan also came to California to see me and watched me throughout all the games." Bibby said he was looking forward to taking visits, including one, pos- sibly, to Michigan. "Distance won't matter," he said. "I'm looking for a place that fits my style of play. I've been researching a lot on Michigan, and I've got a pretty good idea of what they're about." CLASS OF 2016 (OR '17) KEVIN HUERTER TO VISIT Michigan will host Clifton Park (N.Y.) Shenendehowa standout shooting guard Kevin Huerter (6-6, Rivals.com's No. 80 player nation- ally) Sept. 12, ZagsBlog.com re- ported, and it's believed that the Wolverines want him in the 2017 class. The four-star had flirted with the idea of reclassifying and was even 50-50 on the idea at one point, but several programs have gotten involved with the fast riser over the summer. Albany City Rocks AAU coach Jimmy Hart said Huerter has set offi- cials to Villanova (Aug. 30-31), Mary- land (Sept. 4-6), Michigan (Sept. 12-14) and Notre Dame (Sept. 24-26). "Iowa, Indiana, Creighton and Da- vidson are all still in the mix," Hart said. "There are no frontrunners. Academics are important. He really wants to see the campuses when stu- dents are there. The [recent] unofficial at Maryland was very impressive." Huerter visited the Terrapins Aug. 2. He's bonded with assistant coach Dustin Clark, leading some to believe the Terrapins might be his current favorite. "I'm very close with Coach Clark
