THE BUSINESS OF MICHIGAN ATHLETICS
BY JOHN BORTON
Michigan Interim Director of Athlet-
ics Jim Hackett has made a lasting im-
pression in a short span of time. So much
so that, when we asked readers what they
wanted to know from him, one responded
that he'd like to know if Hackett would
stop and reconsider if he threw himself in
front of the athletic director's vehicle if he
ever decided to leave.
Such is the power of landing football
coach Jim Harbaugh and a lucrative Nike
contract in only a few months worth of
work. Hackett, a long-time subscriber
to The Wolverine, sat down for a rare
one-on-one interview.
