  INSIDE MICHIGAN ATHLETICS 2 Medals won by Michigan alumni at the 2015 World Rowing Championships Sept. 6 — Amanda Elmore (2014) took gold in quadruple sculls and Felice Muel- ler (2009-12) earned bronze in women's pair. 3 Former football players (WR Anthony Carter and DB Dave Brown, third team; and CB Charles Woodson, first team) voted to the Football Writers Association of America's 75th anniversary All-America Team. U-M had the seventh-most players nationally and ranked third in the Big Ten behind Nebraska (six) and Ohio State (five). 3rd Rank of the Michigan basketball team among the most-experienced pro- grams in the country based on returning possession-minutes. U-M, which trailed USC and Oregon State, returns 6,109 of 6,550 minutes or 93.3 percent. 4 Years since the U-M volleyball team (10-1) began a season 9-0 like it had this fall; the Wolverines were 13-0 in 2011 before falling for the first time Sept. 24. 6 Caris LeVert's rank among the top impact seniors in college basketball for 2015-16, according to SI.com's Dan Greene. 6-21 The Michigan football team's record over the past decade when it loses the turnover battle by two or more, including a 21st defeat when they were minus- two against Utah. 14-4-1 Michigan's 19 head football coaches' record in their debut game after Jim Harbaugh became the fourth to lose his first contest, joining Bump Elliott in 1959, Gary Moeller in 1990 and Rich Rodriguez in 2008.
