2015-16 WOLFPACK BASKETBALL PREVIEW ■ Cody Martin 15 • G/F So. • Mocksville, N.C. • 6-7 • 210 Analysis: Martin is a good athlete who may be the Pack's most versa- tile performer on the roster. He is one of the candidates to back up junior Anthony "Cat" Barber at point guard, yet he could also get minutes playing the power forward position depending on the matchups. Martin earned positive reviews from his freshman season for his energy level and hustle, and he will look to improve his jumper this year. Career Highlights: Part-time reserve who made three starts in ACC play … Recorded career highs of 10 points, six rebounds and three steals to go with four assists against Notre Dame in a home overtime loss … Had a personal-best five assists in a win over Duke in Raleigh … Rated as a four-star recruit and the No. 81 overall player in the 2014 class by Rivals. com … Played as a senior at national high school power Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Va., and was named his team's MVP … Helped Oak Hill to a 41-4 record and runner-up finish in the Dick's Sporting Goods High School National Tournament … Played previously at Davie County High in Mocksville, N.C., and also participated in football as a freshman. Coach's Corner: "I think Cody could play a little bit of some of that odd-sized forward for us. … There are times I have played around in our workouts with Cody as the backup point guard." — Mark Gottfried Personal: Enrolled in First Year College … Is one minute older than twin brother Caleb Martin … Member of the National Honor Society.
